Joy Abbott

Joy Lynn Abbott, 73, of St. George Utah, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 7, 2019; with her daughter and friend by her side. She was born to the late Robert and Wanda Robertson on April 27, 1946, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Joy is survived by her son Alan Withers (Jennifer) of South Jordan, daughter Laura Withers of Herriman, granddaughter Taunya Joy Withers of Herriman, sister Rose Naughton of St. George, and cousins that were more like brothers and sisters.

She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma. Mom, we will miss hearing you say “I love you with all of my heart”! After retiring from Swire Coca Cola, she and her sister moved to St. George, Utah; where she met her dear friends, Kathy Keeley and Betty Tuetken.

Her life was a living example of Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

The family wishes to thank Brenda Chavez who helped care for her during her last days.
