Jurai Davis

Jurai R Davis passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home in St. George, Utah. On May 27, 2020, at the age of 80.

She was Born June 30, 1939 in Redding, California to Willam and Eva Richards. She was the second oldest of four siblings. She moved with her family back to Ogden, Utah where she grew up and went to school. She met her husband John F. Davis Jr, and they were married on October 24, 1959 and were later sealed in the Oakland, California temple on January 8, 1966 for time and eternity.  She had five children, John, Heather, Stuart, Philip and Kathleen.

She was an amazing woman known for her gentle but strong will.  She was a homemaker who cooked, baked, canned, made jams and was a wonderful seamstress.  And with the latter skill she had the opportunity to work on the costumes for several movies for LDS church films.  She loved her husband, children, a good book and chocolate kisses.

She is survived by her children John, Heather, Philip, Kathleen.  Her sister Lynette Richins, and many grand children and great grand children.

She is preceded in Death by her Husband John F Davis, her son Stuart , her parents Willam and Eva, and her brothers Steven and David.

Her graveside service will be held Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 10:00am at the Tonaquint Cemetery in St. George.There will also be a viewing prior to the graveside service from 8:30-9:30am at McMillan Mortuary 499 E Tabernacle St. in St. George, UT.
