Kimner (Kim) Smith Jenson passed away August 13, 2012, in St. George, Utah. Kim was born in Cedar City, Utah on July 7, 1932, the son of Kimball and Elene (Smith) Jenson. Born into an agricultural family, with multiple generations of horsemen, Kim was a life-long cowboy and master horseman. He loved the time he spent on the race tracks as a jockey and trainer. In 2001 the Iron County Cowboy Poetry and Western Heritage Gathering recognized Kim with its "Top Hand" award.
Kim has left behind his wife Sheila (Shelley) Jenson they were married on June 21,1983. They both shared a love for horses and the cowboy way of life. They spent 29 years together working on ranches and chasing wild cows. Kim leaves behind six sons, three sons from his first wife (Ruth Lyman), Doug, Rulon and Scott and three sons with his second wife (Jeanette Sumner) Kimball, Kerry, and Garth.
Kim was preceded by his parents Kimball and Elene Jenson, brother Garth, sisters Juliene and Sara.
Kim is survived by his wife Sheila (Shelley) Jenson of Beaver Dam AZ, brothers David Jenson of Cedar City and Scott Jenson of Cane Beds, AZ., as well as six sons and 22 grandchildren as well as 8 step children.
Everyone is invited to come and say their good bye's.
Funeral services to be held on Friday Aug. 17, 2012, at 11:00 AM at the LDS Church in Littlefield AZ. The viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery.
