Larry Alan Geer passed away December, 11, 2024, age 90, of natural causes. He was the son of Clyde and Leona Geer, and was born on the family farm in Frederick, Illinois on June 18, 1934. He was a graduate of Rushville High School 1952, and the University of Illinois 1956 ( BS Aerospace Engineering). He marrried Donna Fay Kotter in 1956 and they have three children, Michael (Park City), Kevin (Lucille, Idaho), and Brian (Dammeron Valley, Utah).
The family grew up in Upland, California and enjoyed boating on the Colorado River and rock hounding in the Mohave Desert, Larry worked as an engineer and project manager at Aerojet General and later, Fluor Daniels. His projects included rocket design (liquid, solid, and nuclear fuel), construction of the Alaska pipeline, and oil and gas projects in Saudi Arabia. In retirement, Larry and Donna moved to Dammeron Valley, Utah in 2005 and lived in a house built by their son, Brian a general contractor. They enjoyed having horses and a large garden.
Larry was a strong advocate against the use of microwave ovens due to unhealthful impacts. He stressed the need for all people to use trace mineral supplements for good health as a result of farm soil depletion.
No memorial will be held at Larry's request. The family will have a private committal of ashes.
