Larry Hahaj

June 30, 1957 — February 7, 2016

Larry Eugene Hahaj, 58, passed away February 7, 2016 in his home in Central Utah. He was born 6/30/1957 in Alhambra, California to Louis and Corinne Hahaj. Larry married Patricia in Las Vegas November 4 1984.

Larry’s parents moved to Bishop, California when he was small where his father Louis died of cancer. Corinne later married Hans Kliks and the family moved to Rovana, a mining community nearby where Larry enjoyed running the mountains and fishing Pine Creek. He had a great childhood and developed a love for the outdoors that he shared with his children. When he wasn't doing that, in his off time Larry played computer games with his sons. Larry worked in the grocery industry starting with Safeway and then Vons when they bought it, focusing on produce where he became a leader in his field. He retired in 2009 to Central, Utah with his wife Patricia. He quickly realized he was missing his passion and he went back to work for Farmer’s Market in La Verkin where he continued his love for produce and helping customers.

He is survived by his wife Patricia; Children: Alisha (Bryan) Brown of Tonopah, NV; Carrie (Dan) McCreary of Fernley, NV; Brock (Ashley) Hahaj of Hurricane, UT; William (Linda) Hahaj of Fairfax, VA; Grandchildren: Truet and Hayden Brown, Jacob McCreary. He was looking forward to Lucy Hahaj coming to Brock and Ashley in June. Brothers: Chris (Raschelle) Kliks and Lance (Sherry) Hahaj; Sister: Kristiana Kliks. He is preceded in death by father Louis Hahaj Sr., mother Corrine Kliks, brothers Lenny, Louis Jr., and sister Vicki Prescott.

Memorial services will be Saturday Feb. 13 at 11am at the St. George Catholic Church. This summer his ashes will be spread near his childhood home.
