Larry was married to the love of his life, Jody, for 35 years on February 1, 2016.
Together they raised seven children:
Mindi [Stuart]Palmer
Tina [Roger] Shenfeld
Cynthia [Randy] Allen
Michelle Kozma
Racquel [Richard] Millichamp
Damian [Kristine] Martinez
Kent [Wendy] Elmer
Sixteen grandchildren: Kayla, Kaitlynn, McKaay, Grant, Matthew, Alyson, Cade, Sydnie, Austin,
Nathan, Kortni, Ethen, Sarah, Ali, Anna Kate, and Will. One great grandchild.
Family was the most important thing in his life. He cherished every moment he spent with each one of us. He had a special bond with all of our children and grandchildren. We will treasure each and every memory we made. He loved the outdoors, whether it was the desert or the mountains. He enjoyed exploring, geo caching, camping, hiking, 4-wheeling in the old yellow truck, and shooting anything he could put a bullet in. He always said, “If you weren’t up early you were wasting daylight.”
Larry never met a stranger and he was always the first one to lend a hand to anyone in need. He was quite the jokester. He always made us laugh.
Music was his passion. He could play any song and loved performing on stage. Larry started his first band as a teenager. He was involved with several bands throughout his life. His most recent band was Country Strung. He considered them part of his family. He would sing with his grandchildren and teach them to play the guitar. Whether he was on stage or sitting around a campfire, he could entertain anywhere.
He had a need for speed, rather it be racing his brother-in-law Clark in is SSR, or on the Speedway in Vegas. He loved all cars old and new. Not only was his need for speed with cars, he was the fastest quick draw cowboy in town.
Through his hobbies, he would help raise money for special education students in Kanab, Utah.
We could go on forever trying to capture his love for life and his compassion for everyone and everything. He lived life to the fullest and touched us all with his love.
We are truly blessed to have had him in our lives!
We will miss him dearly!
