Larry Elmer Smith, age 72, passed on March 12, 2015 in St. George, UT.
He was born March 2, 1943 in Pocatello, Idaho to Bernice Rasmussen and Elmer Smith. He married Sylva LaRae Smith in the Logan, Utah temple on September 28, 1962.
Larry was raised in Pocatello, went to school there, and was a Latter-day Saint. He lived in Hawaii, Idaho, and Utah. He loved his family, reading, music, the outdoors, cooking, and teaching. He also served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife LaRae and his two children, Tamra & Ryan Mortensen (WA) and Todd & Bonnie Smith (WY). His grandchildren are Tucker & Aubrey Mortensen, McKinzi Mortensen, Bailey Mortensen, and Miranda Mortensen; Jordan & Kaylee Smith, Morgan Smith, McCabe Smith, and JaAren Smith; and great-grandchild; Lilly Mortensen.
Funeral Services will be Friday, March 20, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Snow Canyon 1st Ward, 1184 N. Dixie Downs Rd, St. George. A viewing will be held at 11:30 am to 12:45 pm at the church. Interment will be in Tonaquint Cemetery.
