LaRue Kunz Spencer (96)
She left this earth surrounded by her loving family on November 2, 2018. She was born on July 6, 1922 in Bern, Idaho to Parley and Hilda (Stoor) Kunz. She was the second of 13 siblings.
She spent the greater part of her life with her dance partner Jay P. Spencer. She resided in Ogden, Utah until 2014, when she followed her family to St. George, Utah. She loved the sun, blue sky and no snow. She laughed every last day with her daughters and grandchildren.
She built a legacy of 5 generations,
Judy Kay Altman and Barbara Martin (Kenneth) both of St. George; 3 grandchildren, Wendy Hall (Jeff), David Martin (Lucinda) and Brian Martin (Tammy); 12 great grandchildren, Deleece (Rod) Smith, Derek (Cassie) Hall, Jessika (Mike) Halacy, Patricia (Juan) Bravo, Joshua Easley, Tisha (Justin) Thornley and 15 great great grandchildren, Davin and Dabbree, Kyrah and Rayden, LaShea, Alexander, Elizabeth,and Anasofia, Bella and Ruby, Gary Jr., Easton, Mason, Swayzie and Koen. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Eva Berry, Lavaun Hansen and 4 brothers, Phillip (Joyce) Kunz, Dale Kunz, Richard (Beulah) Kunz, Arthur (Linda) Kunz; 2 sister in laws, Marlene Kunz and Jan Kunz
She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert Altman (son in law), Derek Martin (grandson), Joshua Easley (great grandson), 4 sisters, Fern (Irvin) Galloway, Jeniel (Glen) Smith, Carol (Donavan) Howell, Naomi (Lavan) Hunsaker and 2 brothers, Paul Kunz, Owen Kunz, 2 brother in laws Gary l. Berry and Lavar Hansen and 1 sister in law Rosemarie Kunz.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Bloomington 2nd ward building (750 E Fort Pierce Dr.) in St. George, Utah. Family and friends can visit prior to the service from 1pm to 1:45pm. Interment will be at the Tonaquint Cemetery in St. George, Utah.
We would like to give special mention to all the staff at Dixie Regional Medical Center who gave such tender and loving care to our very special mom, sister and grandmother.
