Leah Huff

October 1, 1917 — July 17, 2017

Leah Hafen Huff passed away peacefully and painlessly in her sleep on July 17, 2017.  She was born on October 1, 1917 to Frank and Ivie Graff Hafen in the Santa Clara, Utah home of her grandfather.  She would later marry a young CCC enlistee, Max Huff, in that same home on  September 8, 1935.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple and they had four children born to them. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years and daughters, La Jean, Kathy and Mary Lynn Gunn.

Leah was an outstanding homemaker and served in many leadership positions in the LDS church.  She and her husband worked faithfully in the St George Temple and later served a full time mission to the Micronesia Guam Islands.  She loved and enjoyed her extended family and was known for her provident ways, love of music and her exceptional talent as a seamstress.  She was loved by those who knew her and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her son, Kent, and his wife, Betty Lee Stokes, and one brother, Vere Hafen.   In all, she leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
