Lila Mecham

Lila was born the evening of January 9, 1941 in Wichita, Kansas to Louise Baldridge and Perry Rodgers. On the morning of January 10th, she was adopted by her mom and dad, John and Dessie (Smith) Wathen. When she was 3 her family moved to Ontario, California. She graduated from Chaffey Union High School, June 12, 1958.

On November 21, 1958 she married her one and only love of her life, Eldon J Mecham. On May 6, 1964 they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She loved her 8 children with her whole heart. They were her life.

Lila passed away the afternoon of May 1, 2021.

Children: Steve (Kaylynn) Mecham, Dave (Michelle) Mecham, Tami (Lance) Hampton, Kelli (Rodger) Fannin, Susan (Brett) Brinkerhoff, Karen (Russel) Lee, John (Jamie) Mecham, Bill Mecham. She is survived by 33 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, son David, and granddaughter Becca.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 11:00am at the LDS church at 155 East 1050 North, Hurricane, Utah. A viewing will be prior to services at the same location from 9:00-10:45am.   Interment will take place at the Hurricane Cemetery following the services.
