Lowell E. Thomas, 78, passed away July 17, 2013 in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born on January 27, 1935 to James and Olive Thomas. Lowell was raised in Oswego, New York where he met and married the love of his life, Ann. He joined the Air Force in 1952 and served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars before retiring in 1973. After his military service Lowell worked for the Federal Aviation Agency for 21 years, retiring in 1994. Upon his retirement Lowell was awarded the U.S. flag that was flown above the United States Capital in Washington D.C. in honor of his 42 years of service to his country. Lowell and his wife of 59 years, Ann, moved from Huntington Beach, California to Mesquite, Nevada upon his retirement in 1995. He is survived by his wife Ann, brother Charles Thomas and Glenora Wright, sons Jim and Brett and daughter Beth. Lowell was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Services will be held July 25, 2013 at 1:45pm at Riverside National Cemetary in Riverside, California. In lieu of flowers please send donation to The Mesquite Cancer Help Society, P.O.
