Lynn Blatter

August 28, 1932 — December 17, 2015

Lynn Arden Blatter, 83, passed away December 17, 2015 in Washington, Utah. He was born August 28, 1932 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Henry Reed Blatter and Valeria Pearson Blatter. He married Lila Christensen, June 12, 1952 in the Idaho Falls Temple.

Lynn practiced dentistry in Concord, California for 43 years. During that time he also served in many callings in the Concord Ward, working in the Bishopric for 15 years and then serving as Bishop for 10 years.

In retirement Lynn and Lila traveled around the world. He also published several books, beginning with his own history, and then gathered stories from descendants to publish Taylor Mountain Homesteaders, a history of the Blatter Family, a history of Ammon (his hometown) and then a history of Ammon Farmers.

He is survived by his wife Lila, children; Jan (David) Kotter of Washington, Utah, Joni (Ben) Haddad of Pleasanton, California, Suzette (Don) Manning of Riverton, Utah, Lisa (Mark) Brasher of Huntsville, Utah, Terry Blatter of Las Vegas, Nevada, Eric (Dawnika) Blatter of Danville, California and Michael (Julie) Blatter of Newbury Park, California; 25 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Sienna Hills Chapel on 1500 Ridge View Drive in Washington, Utah, where friends may call on Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow services at the Ammon Cemetery.
