Peggy Theos died peacefully at home on August 2, 2012. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 6, 1936, the daughter of Arthur and Brita Jonson Stanley. Both her parents were born in Sweden and Peggy was always proud of her Swedish heritage.
She was married on July 31, 1977 to her beloved husband, Nicholas Louis Theos, who passed away on January 11, 2009. As Nick said then, "I will be waiting for Peggy, the love of my life, on the first tee." They are joined there now for eternity.
Peggy and Nick worked together for many years as managers of the Utah chapter of Sheet Metal Contractors Association in Salt Lake City. They built their home in St. George, Utah when they retired in 1996. They shared a love of golf and were members of the Copper Golf Club in Magna, Utah and the Southgate Golf Club in St. George. Peggy was for many years a very active member of the Dixie Red Hills Ladies Golf Association in St. George.
She is survived by a brother in Sweden, Rolf-Eric Jonson, her daughter Karyn (Geoffrey) Murphy of Winnetka, Illinois, two granddaughters, Emily (Thomas) Reynolds and Christine (Jon) Heaton and three cherished great grandsons, William and Quinn Reynolds and Graham Heaton.
Memorial Services will be held Monday, August 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Promise Lutheran Church, 244 South Valley View Drive, St. George. Contribution in her memory may be made to the church.
