Marilynn Brockbank

Marilynn passed away at home surrounded by her family on November 1, 2014. She was born on September 6, 1939 to Daniel Leroy and Ida Mary Monroe Thorpe. She married Virgil W. Brockbank on August 1, 1956 in the Logan LDS Temple. This dear wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother is missed by family and friends. She was a loving, cheering, and very talented woman. She loved being a mother more than anything. She also loved gardening, conducting music , reading, writing (she had been published by Deseret Book and the Ensign). She attended LDS Business College earning an AS in Secretarial and Administrative Assistant. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, children Paul (Lori) Brockbank, Karin (Arnold) Warner, Robert Brockbank, Catherin (Craig) Howe, a foster daughter Pauline Heugly, 13 grandchildren, 4 foster grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 4 foster great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 7, 2014 at 11:00am at the Green Valley 6th Ward LDS Chapel located at 124 N. Valley View Drive, St. George, Utah. Viewing will be on Thursday, November 6 from 6-8pm and Friday, November 7 at 10:00am at 6th Ward Chapel. Gravesides services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11:00am at the West Jordan City Cemetery 7800 S. 1300 W., West Jordan, UT 84088.
