Martha Singleton Tyler, age 83, of St. George, Utah passed away peacefully from natural causes on June 3, 2011. She was born in Fort Valley, Ga., to Aurelia Greene and Louis Parnell Singleton. Martha graduated from Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville and led a decades-long and heralded career in Advertising; which she began in Atlanta and continued in Minneapolis, Minn.; where she and her husband, Redmond, lived for 10 years. Upon Redmond's retirement from Northwest Airlines, they moved back to Atlanta.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Redmond Tyler, and her younger brother Frank. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy (Frank) Belyeu; daughters Salley Tyler of Greenville, S.C.; and Elaine Tyler (Ray) of St. George, Utah.
A memorial service will be held in Atlanta, Ga., on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Little Chapel at Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church, 1660 North Decatur Road, NE; where she and Redmond were married on December 26, 1950.
