Mary Joleah Wilson

Mary Joleah Millett Wilson was born August 15, 1934, in Mesa, AZ to George William Millett and Minnie Taylor Millett. She died on October 6, 2023, in Hurricane, UT.

She married Hilton Justin Wilson on July 12, 1953 , in Tulelake, CA. She is survived by her children: Greg (Janell) Wilson of Cedar City, Daniel (Rosa) Wilson of Young, AZ, Paula (Keith) West of Enterprise, Ron (Verla) of Enterprise and Christopher (Rolaina) Wilson of Washington, UT. She has 33 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Donald, brother Eldon Millett and sister Verlynn Hale.

Mary was raised by relatives and friends because her mother was ill, and her father worked all over the western United States. She lived in AZ, NV, NM, OR, CA and UT. She moved 56 times in her lifetime.

She graduated from Merrill High School, Merrill, Oregon in 1953.

She worked different jobs throughout her life like: babysitting, dry cleaning, craft store clerk, home sales, bakery, wide load escort driver, and pharmacy clerk. Her favorite job was being a wife, mother, and homemaker.

Mary had many talents. She loved dancing, baton twirling, cake decorating, making doll and Barbie clothes, sewing quilts, making Christmas stockings, gardening and canning. She loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in many positions.

She loved to play games, and cards, go camping, visit family and friends, host parties, go walking, do family history work/genealogy and eat chocolate. She was a friend to everyone she met and tried to make everyone feel loved. Her greatest joy was her family and spending time with them.

The last 6 1/2 years she spent in Assisted living care in Hurricane, UT and made many friends there.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 12:00pm. There will be a viewing prior to services from 11:00-11:45am at the Enterprise Stake Center 88 S. Center St. Enterprise, Utah

Interment immediately following service at the Enterprise City Cemetery, 575 E. 100 N. Enterprise, Utah
