Michael John Lee

St George, UT- Michael John Lee, 46, passed away August 15, 2020 after fighting chronic pain and illness for many years. He was born December 1, 1973 to Elward (Ward) Lee and Kathleen (Kathy) Merchant. Mike married Julie Webb and they spent many years together raising their family. Although they later divorced, they remained on good terms over the years.

Mike had 3 beautiful children, Kylie, Stormy, and Kody that he loved very much and was immensely proud of.  Mike and his kids; his dad and stepmom; and his brothers and their families spent many wonderful times camping, fishing, and hiking in Pine Valley where many lifelong memories were made.

When Mike became a grandpa, it was the highlight of his life.  Though life and careers led the kids and grandkids in different directions and distances may have separated them, Mike loved them all and would proudly show their pictures to all his friends.

Mike had a way of making friends everywhere he went.  He had a heart of gold and would do anything for his family and friends.

Mike and his brother Scott had a special bond and were best friends, growing even closer the last few years. They visited nearly every day, either in person or by phone and those conversations will be greatly missed.

His heart was big, and he will he missed by many - his children, grandchildren, brothers, nieces, nephews, dad, and all the many friends he made over the years.

He is survived by his children: daughters, Kylie Marie White (Joe) and Stormy Benkert (Derik); his son, Kody Michael Lee; his dad, Ward Lee (Cindy); brothers, Scott Dutton (Heather),  Robyn Dutton, William Lee, Vance Lee, and Sid Lee; his grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins that were all very special to him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Merchant; his brother, Craig Ryan Merchant; and his cousin, Ryan Lee who all greeted him with open arms.

We love you, Mike. Until we meet again...
