Michele Nelson Archer, 62, decided to join her family in Paradise on February 9, 2014 in Provo,UT. She was born March 21, 1951 in Great Falls, MT to Bruce and Betty Ruth Nelson. Michele married Bob Archer in the Cardston Alberta LDS Temple on August 30, 1973.

Michele who friends and family lovingly called Shelly, was a joy to all who knew her. She served in Student Council and a variety of Clubs. She was honored to be the Homecoming Princess and graduated from CM Russell High School in 1969. Shelly loved to travel. Before college she backpacked across Europe with her cousin and a group of friends. They toured for a month and She loved the whole experience of the trip, but visiting Greece was her favorite part. Those were memories she treasured.

Shelly graduated from BYU in 1977 with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. It was at BYU that she met Bob Archer. They went on to have five wonderful children and a life full of service and hard work. Her children were her best friends and she spent all her time with them. They traveled to many locations and loved being together.

Shelly and Bob worked together in Real Estate and built beautiful homes that they lived in. Bob did the construction and Shelly worked hard to decorate in a beautiful fashion. When the children got older they also learned the art of construction and helped on projects. Shelly and Bob were also quite gifted team builders and worked to help many people achieve success. She and Bob divorced in later years.

Shelly was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. One of her greatest attributes was her charitable and giving nature. She was always willing to help anyone at any hour.

Shelly was always faithful to the LDS church and served in a variety of callings and leadership positions.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Bruce and Betty Ruth Nelson.

She is survived by her 5 children: Chad (Melinda), Dane (Hollie), Shaun (Dani), Devon (Abbey), Brittney, and 9 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 14, 2014 at 12:00 noon at the Mulberry LDS Chapel in Bloomington located at 3381 Mulberry Dr., St. George UT. A visitation will be from 10:30am to 11:45am prior to services at the same location.

She will be laid to rest at Tonaquint Cemetery.
