Micki Lee Mangum, 36, passed away on the morning of February 19, 2013 in Ivins, Utah. Micki was born September 17, 1976 in Gunnison, Utah. Her parents, Martin Ralph and Patricia Gardner Mangum. Micki is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia. Micki fought a good fight against a degenerative neurological disorder. Her determination to laugh and smile made her many friends. She was granted a wish by the Make-A-Wish Foundation in early 1992 and traveled to Florida with her family for a week at Disney World. Micki graduated from Snow Cany0n High School to a standing ovation in 1998. Micki loved being with family and due to the restrictions placed on her she watched many movies. Her favorite was Pete's Dragon. She and most of her family knew this movie by heart and could speak and sing along with it from start to finish. Micki had the privilege of being a torch bearer in the 2002 Winter Olympics torch run when it came through St. George.
She is survived by her father, Marty and step mother Laura Jacobson Mangum, brothers and sisters; Carlton (Debra) Mangum, Stephanie (Casey) Mangum Maloney, Rod (Hollie) Holcomb, Chris (Patricia) Holcomb, Jenni (Jeff) Mangum Cloward, Jay Gardner III, Lee Stoker, Nathan (Heidi) Stoker, Lisa (Rob) Mangum Knowlton, Kim Stoker, Solomon (Tiera) Gardner, John (Beckah) Carter. She is also survived by her grandmother Irene Gardner and many Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ivins Heritage Chapel, 240 East 1060 South in Ivins, Utah. A Viewing will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 at the church prior to services.
Interment will be at the Ivins City Cemetery.
