Milton Arnold Erickson

March 18, 1941 — March 12, 2025

St. George, Utah

An amazing man, husband, father, brother, best grandfather ever, great grandpa and favorite uncle of many. Milt was the son of Margaret (Searle) and Raymond Ellsworth Erickson and was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. His son Earnie was his main caretaker and sidekick for more than a year and did a fantastic job of bringing happiness and love his way and was by his side as he passed away peacefully at his home in St. George, Utah at the age of 83.

After graduating from East High school, Milt enrolled at age 19 into an Electrical Apprenticeship, eventually earning a Journeyman’s License, Master’s License, and Contractor License. He was licensed to cut meat and did so for years at Ray’s Market for his father. He volunteered in Garden City, Utah with the Search and Rescue Team and was on the City Council and loved serving people. Milt would give you the shirt of his back, something he passed on to his son and daughter. His work ethic, honesty and integrity were just a few of his defining qualities. He tried to play as hard as he worked and always had a new toy.

Predeceased by his wife Jean Marie (Wilson), Mother and Father and sister Marla Ray Carlisle, and is survived by his sister Susan Irene Sedgwick, son Earnest “Earnie” Milton Erickson, daughter Margo Sue (Greg) Richards; grandchildren Kristy Marie (Sara Jayne), Jamie Lynn, (Kaitlin Rose); great-grandchildren Clara Rose, Lynnlee Jean and Sutton Grace.

Our deepest thanks to Nurse Courtney of Zion’s Way. Her loving care made a huge difference in the quality of his life this year.
