Monte Hector Evans of Toquerville, Utah returned to his Father in Heaven on February 26, 2018.
Monte was born on April 16, 1950 to Donald Hector and Betty Lou Evans in San Francisco, California. He spent the first eight years of his life in Martinez, California and then moved to Walnut Creek, California. He met his sweetheart of 50 years Marjorie Marie Annereau while living there. His family relocated to Orem, Utah between his Junior and Senior year. He couldn’t live without his “baby doll” and would return to Walnut Creek to live with grandma & grandpa Keefauver.
After graduating, he married his high school sweetheart and they moved to Orem, Utah to start their family. They went on to have five children whom he loved and adored.
Monte spent his life working with his hands as a contractor. He was a craftsman and perfectionist in all he did. He loved spending time with his family and was a very loving man, His favorite time with his family was spent camping, riding motorcycles, hiking,taking rides, and just enjoying nature.
Monte would do anything for his friends and family and was very loving. He was a very spiritual man with a deep love for his Lord and Savior.
Although he will be missed by all who knew him, he is back in the arms of his Father in Heaven.
He is survived by his loving wife Margie Evans, five children Peggy Evans, Donald Evans, Becky Rubio, Sandra Evans, and Christine Evans, 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother Betty Evans, his brothers Danny Evans and Jay Evans and his sisters Carol Green and Linda Zang.
He is precede in death by his father Donald H. Evans, great-granddaughter Gabriella Fullerton and his brother Russell Evans.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 2, 2018 at 11:00am at the Toquerville 1st Ward Chapel located at 63 N. Toquerville Blvd, Toquerville, Utah 84774. A viewing will be prior to services from 10:00-10:45am at the same location. Interment will be at the Toquerville City Cemetery.
