Nadeane Shingleton Sandberg, 84, returned to her heavenly home on Oct. 21, 2024 in St. George, Ut. after a long and courageous battle with Dementia/Alzheimer’s Disease, Metastatic Breast Cancer, and a recent fall that sadly took her quicker than expected.
Nadeane was born on January 14, 1940 in Denver, Co. to R. Farnell Shingleton and Maureen Hendrickson. She was sealed to George M. Jaquier in the Salt Lake temple on Jan. 15, 1960. After his passing she was fortunate to find and marry Douglas J. Hardy in 1966 who helped her raise her young children. After his death she married R. Fielding (Sandy) Sandberg on May 12, 2001 and enjoyed many years traveling and growing old together. Sandy lovingly cared for her during her years with dementia.
Nadeane grew up in Salt Lake City in a loving home. She raised her children in Holladay and spent her last golden years in St. George, UT.
She loved spending many summers with her family making wonderful memories together at their cabin on Bear Lake. Nadeane enjoyed sewing, bowling, dancing, and gardening. She also enjoyed singing and was involved in many choirs. She also loved painting and became an incredible artist. Being a mom and a grandmother was her greatest joy in life. She was a wonderful example to her children of living the gospel of Jesus Christ. She had an amazing testimony and shared it freely. She served many years in both the Jordan River and St. George LDS temples. She also served a family history service mission. She honored the law of consecration by her service in various church callings, spending numerous hours doing indexing, and ministering to others. She was such a great example to all those who were fortunate enough to know her. She truly loved her Savior.
She is survived by her husband Sandy, her four children: Kelly Jaquier, Stansbury Park; Robyn (Ron) Gines, Eagle, ID; Sheralyn (Brian) Webb, Layton; David Hardy, Millcreek, and a brother, Dr. Richard N. Shingleton, Murray; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her previous spouses & her sister LaNae MacBan.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday Nov. 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Holladay LDS 25th Ward at 4650 Naniloa Dr. Holladay, UT 84117. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 9:30-10:45. Interment will be at the Holladay Memorial Park at 4900 Memory Lane Holladay, UT.
