Nelba Bailey Stimpson passed away October 4, 2013 in St. George, Utah. She was born October 21, 1917 to Luther Kennedy and Maggie Arminta Gover Bailey in Kelsey, Texas.
She was raised in Riverdale, Utah. She attended Riverdale Elementary School and graduated from Weber High School. She was a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She married Lester Stimpson on July 20, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She is survived by her children Claudia (Paul) Evans of Sun City West, Arizona; Eileen (Phil) Palmer of South Ogden, Utah; Scott of St. George Utah; a very special friend Julie Hawk; 6 grandchildren Lauri Canales, Kristen Palmer-Nielsen, Raquel Howard, Blake Christensen, Dale Christensen, and Troy Christensen; 17 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren, with 2 more due before Christmas.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 1:00pm at the St. George City Cemetery.
