Ora Elison Latimer passed away peacefully, while surrounded by her family, in her home in Hurricane, Utah on August 27, 2011.
She was born October 25, 1923 to Orson Stanley and Maude Elison. She was proceeded in death by her sweet husband of 69 years. He passed away on June 4, 2011. Ora was married to Donald Franklin Latimer in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 26, 1942.
An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ora held many church callings. She and her husband served as temple workers in both the Las Vegas and St. George temples for many years and they served a mission for the church in Vermont. She lived her life providing service for others.
Ora was happiest when surrounded by family. She is survived by her 10 children and their spouses, Carol (Lindon) White, Dixie (Dale) Sly, Hal (Annette) Latimer, Jonna Stanworth, Jan (Dennis) Jorgensen, LuAnn (Craig) White, Lori (Mike) DeMille, Dawn Tatum, Nancy (Mike) Hallewell, Lora (Keith) Loomis, two brothers, Garth and Don Elison, 56 grandchildren and 99 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, LaMar, Keith and Shirl Elison, sister Shirleen Lowder, her husband Don, son-in-law, Michael Pender, grandson Michael Pender Jr., great grandchildren, Breanne White and Sarah White.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hurricane 11
th
Ward at 425 N. 2600 W. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to services. Interment will be in the Tonaquint Cemetery.
