Patricia was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 20, 1935 to her parents Rita Eileen Garry and Thomas Francis Meehan. She passed away on January 27, 2016 in St. George, Utah. She was 80 years old. As a young teenager, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona, home of her future husband and love of her life, Steven Bosvay. Though she and her future husband both lived in Phoenix for several years, they did not meet until a later time when they both lived in San Diego, California and Steven was just getting out of the Navy. After their retirement, Patricia and Steven began calling Saint George their home in 2001.
Patricia is survived by her husband Steven; her sisters Lani and Candy; 3 children Michelle, Kim and Jeff; 3 grandchildren Amy, Tyler and Corey, and 3 great-grandchildren Eryn, Noah and Taylor. The death of her younger brother, Thomas Meehan preceded hers. Patricia had many interests and hobbies. She had a passion for ballroom dancing, and helping others by volunteering at the Dixie Regional Medical Center since it’s opening in 2003. She was quick to make friends and she had many. She belonged to St. George’s Prime Time Dancers, was a member of the local Red-Hats Society, and she loved to play Mexican Train and other games with friends on a regular basis. She will be missed by many for her endless energy, enthusiasm, optimism, and zest for life. Every year, when blowing out her birthday cake candles, she always wished for the same thing, “a happy family”. She is now undoubtedly joining her mother, father, brother and other family members in heaven in her completion of the full circle of life.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday February 2, 2016 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Serenity Funeral Home at 1316 S 400 E St. George, Utah. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in San Diego, California.
