"Together Again"

Ralph Edgar Key, 85, Passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughters and grandchildren, and joined his eternal companion, Dorothy Ellen Linn, on May 12, 2013, Mother’s Day.

He was born on Aug. 3, 1927, in Bisbee Az. The youngest of 9 children, to John O. and Gertrude I. Griffin Key, .

He grew up and finished his schooling in Bisbee Arizona, where he also worked in the mines during his youth. He then followed his brother to California to join the Merchant Marines, where he traveled the world extensively. He returned to Bisbee Arizona and married his childhood sweetheart Dorothy Ellen in 1947. He and Dorothy raised five children working as a carpenter, and also building, refurbishing, and selling many homes throughout his life. He was very talented at making beautiful homes out of Meager means.

He was preceded in death by his parents, eight siblings, son Bruce, and his wife Dorothy.

He is survived by his four daughters Linda Mayoros, Judy Miles, Trudy Duisen, and Jodi Adams, 22 grand children, and 44 great-grandchildren.

He and Dorothy also opened their home and cared for many grandchildren, foster children, as well as others in need.

As an adult he was baptized into the LDS church, and faithfully served in many callings throughout his life. He and Dorothy were sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles temple on July 15, 1972.

Because of his sense of humor and love for others, he had the incredible ability to help everyone who entered his home leave feeling uplifted.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 17, 2013 at 11 AM, at the LDS, Little Valley Chapel, 2079 E. 2450 S. in St. George. A Viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:45 prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Tonaquint Cemetery.
