Ramona Lee Caine passed away on May 7, 2019 surrounded by her six children, whom she loved dearly. She was born on December 6, 1951 to Victor Allen Mair and Francis “Penny” Daw in Park City, Utah.
Ramona held many roles during her lifetime: mother, daughter, sister, friend, seamstress, caretaker, and homemaker. Most important, she was always found serving others, placing their needs before her own. Our beautiful Mom lived a life filled with compassion and endless service, especially for the elderly. Her many talents with cooking, sewing, organization, and creativity were a blessing to countless others. She taught us to work hard, love one another, and be humble enough to apologize when in the wrong. She instilled in us the love for children and innocence. She was always affectionate, giving kisses and hugs freely. She was quick-witted, candid and highly valued for her honesty.
She had a passion for music and musicals, and “The Sound of Music” will forever remind her family of her carefree love and beauty. Our sweet Mom will be deeply missed and in remembrance of her, “these are a few of our favorite things, and then we won’t feel so bad.” Her smile; her laugh; her kisses; her winks; her singing; her love of Dr. Pepper; her trips to the Dollar Store; her sense of humor; and her ability to laugh at herself. We are grateful for the love she had for Heavenly Father and the Savior, and find comfort that this knowledge gave her peace in leaving this world.
Ramona is survived by her six children, Deserae, Kendra, Kenneth, Brianna, Corey and Cameron ; 20 grandchildren; 5 brothers, Larry, Gary, Bruce Shaun and Lonnie; 2 sisters, Cheryl and Maggie; many nieces and nephews and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her father Vic, her mother Penny, and her sister Roberta.
Services will be held in Ramona’s honor on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Morningside Stake Center, 900 South River Road, St. George, Utah.
