Randy Cecil Carter, 72, passed away November 20, 2024 in his home in Mesquite, Nevada.
Randy was born July 20, 1952, in Provo, Utah to Osburn and Ruth (Ruthie) Carter. He was the 2nd of 4 boys, raised on Carterville Road in Orem. As a young boy, Randy worked on the family dairy farm. Randy graduated from Orem High School in 1970, where he was a varsity football player. After graduation, Randy followed in the family footsteps and joined the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union. He was a 3rd generation member and excelled as a welder. In 2019, Randy retired from Local 140 after 48 years working and passed away with 53 years of service.
Randy was known for his rough and tough demeanor but had a heart of gold. He was a good old boy that worked hard to make something for himself and his family. He knew how to work hard and play hard. Randy spent time on the Carter farm in Tabiona and had his own farm in Axtell. He was an avid golfer and loved his family and friends. Randy is survived by his children; RuthAnn, Lacie (Jeremy), JD, and Payte (Cortnee), as well as his younger brothers; Hortt (Suzanne) and Bret (Lori). He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Sam.
A celebration of life is being planned for Spring or Summer 2025.
