Ray Leroy Christen passed away March 5th, 2018 at home He was born June 28th 1934 to Le Roy Stanley Christen and Zella Grace Peterson. He grew up in Orem, Utah where he was educated in Alpine School District and BY High School. As a young man he enjoyed working in the family redi-mix business. He married Maurine Egan on May 23rd 1953, they were later sealed in the Salt Lake City temple. They have five boys: Steve (deceased), Ron, Chad, Jess and Kip, 18 grandkids and 30 great grandkids.
Ray was known for his amazing work ethic. He owned Western Concrete Service for many years doing footings and foundations. Later he owned the Chateau Steak House with the love of his life Maurine. After his first heart attack, he semi-retired to working for K&P Plumbing where he ran the trucking department. He moved to St. George in 1992 where he continued to do finish work, room additions and small construction projects.
He was preceded in death by his wife Maurine, Son Steven, brother Dennis and parents. Private family services will be held at a later date.
