Richard Brian Adling, Age 65, passed away February 18, 2021. He was born September 2, 1955 in Herriman, Tennessee to Betty Jane and Donald William Adling.
After earning his Eagle Scout Award Richard graduated from Western High School located in Anaheim, California in 1973 then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on March 4, 1975. He served six years active duty as a Ground Communications Technician reaching the rank of Sergeant (E-5). After separating from the Marine Corps, he continued his career in Electronics and Aerospace working for Xerox, McDonnell Douglas, and Boeing. He also worked as an electrician and a substitute teacher in Jurupa Unified School District. In June 1989 he completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a major in Management and Human Resources from Cal Poly Pomona. In his free time Richard enjoyed mentoring Boy Scouts, outdoor activities such as camping and hiking, horseback riding, travel, movies and astronomy. He was active and held many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He lived most of his life in Southern California. He did live a few years in Washington and the last few years in St. George Utah.
He is survived by his four children Nicole (California), Crystal (Alaska), James (California), Jackie (Utah) and his three grandchildren Jannell, Hannah, and Brooke. He also has eight surviving brothers and sisters Donald, Barbara, Cathy, Robert, Mary, David, Carolyn, and Mark.
Funeral services will be held Saturday February 27, 2021 at 11:00 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3381 Mulberry Dr. St. George, UT 84790. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:45.
Interment will be on March 16, 2021 at 11:30 at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92158 under the direction of McMillan Mortuary 435-688-8880.
