Richard Louis Kirchhoff.
Richard passed away on May 7, 2017. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 5, 1918 to Edwin and Eleanore Kirchhoff. He married Bernice De George on November 20, 1943 in Chicago.
Richard attained his bachelor’s degree in Musicology prior to entering the Army Air Corps during World War II where he earned the rank of Chief Warrant Officer as a band leader. Following the end of the war he achieved his Masters. While being a small business owner, he became involved in city, then county politics in Illinois. He and Bernice retired to St. George, where he taught at Tuacahn.
Richard is survived by his sister Dorothy Fill, daughter Susan Lynn Rossetti, son Richard Allen Kirchhoff, his granddaughters Tonia MArie Freeman, Tara Bernice Riley, and great granddaughters Kalysta Shade and Kyah Mae Riley.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents and wife Bernice.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Best Friends Animal Society.
