Robert Milton Redfearn was born November 30, 1920 in Greenwood, Arkansas to Bertha Pearl Gloar and Milton Douglas Redfearn. He was the fifth child of nine. He joined the Navy in 1942 and while stationed in California, he met the love of his life, Anna May Scott. They were married on May 8, 1943. They later became the parents of three sons, Robert, John, and Dan. In 1945, Robert was honorably discharged from the Navy and began pursuing a career in plumbing. He was living in Whittier, California and was one of the partners with Fleischmann Plumbing Company. Then he started his own plumbing company in Pico Rivera, California. In 1964, he moved his family to Sacramento, California to create a successful plumbing company with his brother, Harold. Upon retiring, they dissolved the company. However, Robert was the oldest living member of the Plumbers Union (63 yrs.) until his death. While living in Whittier, California, Robert, not a member of the LDS Church, helped build one of their chapels. In 1954, he was baptized and has been an active member ever since. He was sealed to his wife and sons in the Los Angeles Temple on April 23, 1956. He served in many church callings and since moving to St. George in 1994, he served in the temple until he was physically unable to do so. We appreciate the care of Rocky Mountain Hospice for the last four years. He passed away at home on April 13, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Anna May, of St. George; his three sons, Robert Michael of St. George, Utah, John (Janice) of St. George, Utah, and Dan (Sharon) of Sacramento, California; two sisters, Marie Fitzgerald of Pryor, Oklahoma, and Bertha (Boots) Thurman of Pryor, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren.
