Robert Fargo Sears

Robert Fargo Sears was born on January 14, 1935, in Los Angeles, CA, to Col. Jerome Fargo Sears and Dorothy Price. His siblings were Winthrop, Ozzie, Jerry, and Bill. A graduate and ROTC reservist at the University of Southern California, he became a successful go-getter at an early age. Starting off as an advertising and staff writer for Capitol Records in L.A. Moving to Tacoma in 1968, as a graphic designer for the Weyerhaeuser Company and finally the owner and instructor of several successful driving schools in both Tacoma and St. George. An avid writer he enjoyed writing short autobiographies and has had many articles published in local newspapers and national magazines.

Ever inseparable and in love (in life and beyond) Robert and Gena very much enjoyed spending time with family and friends, boating, RV’ing and traveling. They are survived by son Terry L. Smith and his wife Lynn of Tacoma, WA; son Michael W. Sears of and his wife Cindy of Copalis Beach, WA; daughter Gena Marie Miller and her husband John of Eagle, ID; and daughter Kathryn Sears Gillespie and her husband Corey of Sequim, WA. Also, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
