Robert Galen Weeda,
76, passed away in Saint George, Utah on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 4:57 AM, due to complications following pacemaker surgery. Bob was born on December 11, 1934 to parents, Anthony J. and Florence Winifred Weeda.
He completed 13 years of education, most of which he put to good use in construction and manufacturing of recreational vehicles and home improvement items. His favorite pastimes were attending the drag races with his son Darren, and going on vacation with wife, April. During his younger wild years, his passion was racing cars. As a father, his passion became sports, focusing on coaching Little League baseball, Pop Warner football, and children's' athletic programs, culminating in service to his community as Orange Empire (Pop Warner) Conference Commissioner.
Bob is survived by his wife, April; siblings Carmen (Micki), Florence (Babe), Patricia (Pat), Tom and Richard; children, Keith, Robin and Darren; step-children, Carolyn, Geoffrey, Darryl, and Adam; grandchildren Juliana, Ryan, Brendan, Aubrey, and Logan; great grandchild, Jonathan. Grandchild, Jeremy, is predeceased.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 23 at 1:00 PM at the Saint George Catholic Church 259 W. 200 N. A Visitation and rosary are scheduled for Saturday, July 23 at 11:30 to 12:30 AM at the Saint George Community Church, 95 S. 800 E. St. George, UT. Interment will be at Tonaquint Cemetery in Saint George.
