Royce Franklin Graham

January 27, 1936 — November 28, 2024

St. George, Utah

Royce Franklin Graham, a devoted family patriarch and respected engineer, passed away on November 28, 2024, in St. George, Utah, at the age of 88. Born on January 27, 1936, in Ringling, Oklahoma, Royce lived a life rich in accomplishments both personally and professionally.

A proud graduate of Zane's High School, Royce went on to pursue higher education at Murray State College before transferring to Oklahoma A&M, now known as Oklahoma State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. His educational background laid a strong foundation for a remarkable career in aerospace engineering. Royce worked for Convair in Ft. Worth, Texas, on the AF B58 Hustler and later contributed his expertise at Convair Astrodynamics in San Diego on the Atlas E Missile guidance program. His significant tenure at North American Aviation/Autonetics in Anaheim, California, spanned nearly 33 years, during which he focused on inertial guidance systems for the Navy A3J Attack bomber and the Minutemen I, II, and III ICBM Missiles. After retiring in January 1993, Royce embraced the beauty of Montana and all it had to offer.

Known for his few words yet vast knowledge, Royce was a man who lived life on his own terms. His unwavering love for the Lord was evident in his actions and interactions with others. He cherished his role as a devoted husband to Linda Graham, and as a loving father and grandfather, he is survived by his children Gary (Christine) Graham of Orange, California; Laurie Hardy (Clare) of St. George, Utah; Scott Graham of Torrance, California; and Rex (Heather) Graham of Casper, Wyoming; Ryan (Michelle) Moss of Roy, UT. Additionally, he is survived by his 12 grandchildren, a testament to his legacy. Royce also leaves behind a niece, Sharon Hinkle, and a nephew, Ray (Janet) Copeland.

Throughout his life, Royce possessed a deep-seated love for the outdoors, dedicating his free time to activities such as riding dirt bikes, hunting, camping, fishing, shooting, and reloading. He shared a special bond with his loyal companion, Missy, who accompanied him on many of these adventures.

Royce is preceded in death by his parents, George Franklin and Laura Belle Graham; his sister, Sybil Copeland; and his first wife, Sandra Jo Graham. His memory will forever be cherished by those he leaves behind, and his influence will endure in the hearts of family and friends.

The family would like to thank Applegate Hospice for their loving care.

At Royce's requests no funeral services will be held. A private Celebration of Life with his family will be held at a later date.
