Sherlia Merle Lund Weston was born in Los Angeles, California on March 22, 1924 to Wallace Erastus Lund, and Venice Deborah Robinson. On September 2, 2016, she passed away in St. George, Utah.
Sherlia was raised in the Los Angeles area where she met her future husband, Floyd Elmer Weston, during World War II. She and Floyd enjoyed an exciting life together, including welcoming seven children into their eternal family, and she was their greatest cheerleader, attending all their sporting and academic events. She was a gifted musician, playing the piano, organ, and directing choirs in many wards and stakes, along with serving in many other callings in the church. She also played the organ in the Boise Temple for years.
Sherlia discovered golf after her children were raised, and loved to play. Especially when she got good enough to beat Floyd.
She is survived by her children, Carlie (David Arntsen) Houston, TX, Stephen (Ranae) St George, Ut, Laurie (Rick Hulbert) Boise, ID, Spencer (Becky) Cameron Park, Ca, Debbie (Jim Haining) Las Vegas, NV, Wendy Weston, Boise, Id, Adam (Gayla) Saratoga Springs, Ut, 32 grandchildren, 87 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She also has two sisters, Lila Orme, and Marie Prince. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, brother LaMar Lund, and one sister, Joan Schultz.
Sherlia was a lifelong and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day- Saints. What an honor to share the eternities with such a special mom. We will miss her infectious laugh.
A private family service was held.
