On December 28, 2022, SHIRLEY JEAN PROWELL- NIELSEN, AKA ‘squirlybeans,’ passed from this veil of tears, and smiles.
On what is a sunny, warm day wherever she is, she is here to say goodbye to this earth and its inhabitants, some of whom she knew and loved. These include her father, Irvin Floyd Prowell, her mother, Jessie Alice Coen, both of whom she loved and whose knowledge served her well in this life, and have passed before; her sister Linda Alice Prowell,; and her half-sister Sarah Bennet, who have also passed, and two half-brothers whom she never knew. Also, leaving behind, is her sister Carol Hughes in Missouri.
She is leaving behind her Husband of more than fifty years, KAJ., a man of many skills. One of which was saving her from a loveless, lonely life. She trusts he will find many happy years yet.
Shirley was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. A good place to live in her youth. She graduated from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas in 1967 (Nevada Southern) with a BS in Economics. She used her education well in the field of securities and benefits administration in Sydney, Australia, Aarhus, Denmark, San Francisco and San Diego, CA. After years of visiting many other countries, and living in a few of them, she and her husband retired to Hurricane, UT - a most fortuitous decision.
