Stephen Eugene Horne, age 87, passed away at St. George, Utah on September 6, 2012.
Born June 30, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah, he lived in Salt Lake City, Utah, Seattle, Washington, Bellingham, Washington, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Grants Pass, Oregon, and St. George, Utah. He joined the Navy for 3 years during World War 2 and then began studies at the University of Washington until 1949 when he served for 2 years as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Afterward he graduated with a BA degree in 1951. He married Leila Mae Kunz in 1952. They are blessed with 4 children, Stephen Craig Horne, Randall Allen Horne, Debra Ann Gilmore, and Teresa Marie Horne.
He has many skills in aviation with over 20 years experience in building and flying radio control aircraft. His first love was serving Jesus Christ as he served 4 missions in this life and is presently serving in the next life.
Services will be held in St. George, Utah at the Bloomington Hills 3

Ward building at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 15, 2012. Burial will be at Tonaquint Cemetery, in St. George, Utah.
