Teresa Gordon

Teresa Lynn Gordon, 56, passed away on December 30, 2017 in St. George, Utah. She was born on December 11, 1961 in Macon, Georgia to Royanne Sanford and Buddy Couch. She lived her entire life in the Middle Georgia area. She graduated Cross Keys Christian Academy in Macon, Georgia. She was steadfast in her faith and loved God with all of her heart. Her passions included painting, drawing, caring for her pets and having a deep compassion for homeless animals, reading and being with her family, who meant everything to her.
She is survived by her loving friend and caring companion, Jerry Hardin, her daughter Mandy Pompa, son Paul Dawson (Kristin), son Michael Prosser Jr. (Katie) and grandchildren Andrew, Gabriel, Annie Mae, Alexis, Calvin and Addison, and brother Joseph Mize. She was preceded in death by her mother, Royanne Sanford, and grandmother, Annie Mae Brantley. She had recently connected with her father's side of her family and loved them dearly.
Memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 3:00 pm at New Elim Baptist Church, 4368 Hartley Bridge Road, Macon, Georgia 31216. In lieu of flowers, the family asks a donation be made in her name to The Humane Society or a local animal shelter.
