Beautiful Wife and Mother
Tina Valyn Cox Roberts, our sweet, beautiful wife, mother, sister and friend and one of the kindest, most giving people in the world, was called home on Jan. 9, 2013, and is now in Heaven with her baby son Cort. Everyone here misses and loves her more than words can say, but we know she is in a place of peace and happiness where she is preparing a place for us to be with her again someday.
Tina was born on Feb. 17, 1976 in St. George, Utah, to Lyn V. Cox and Kathleen Bentley Cox. She was given the name Tina Valyn because she was the family's "valentine." Her own family has always been her joy, love and priority - they have worked, played and served together and she has taught her children through her example of patience and service.
Tina is preceded in death by her infant son, Cort Roy Roberts. She is survived by her husband, Bill Roberts; daughter, Shae Lyn; sons Omri Jess and Dean Koda; mother, Kathleen Bentley Baber; father, Lyn Cox; brothers Lyncoln (Crystal) Cox and Jake Cox; and sisters Connie (Jeff) Baber, Mindy Lister, and Cami (Darryl) Jim, as well as countless family and friends who love her and sorely miss her.
Tina has been our rock and our angel, quietly going about serving those around her and always putting others before herself. She never had an unkind word to say about anyone, and she was truly loved by everyone who knew her. Her kind heart, gentle service and selfless ways have touched so many people - more than she ever knew.
A celebration of Tina's life will take place Saturday, January 19, 2013, at the Little Valley 6th Ward L.D.S. chapel, 2079 E. 2450 South in St. George with a viewing at 9 a.m. and funeral services following at 11 a.m. Tina will be laid to rest at the Tonaquint Cemetery in St. George.
