Utahna Jennings

Utahna Dalton Jennings, age 84, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed peacefully into the next life on Friday, January 19, 2018. Utahna was born on January 17, 1934 in Rockville, Utah to Jacob and Hazel Dalton. Utahna married her sweetheart, Drew Jennings, in the St. George temple on September 11, 1952.

Utahna was kind to others and a friend to all. She had a gift of making people feel loved. She served in various church callings, Relief Society presidency, Young Women and Primary. She also served with her husband as a Temple Worker. She was willing to serve where she was needed and served throughout her life in quiet ways that most did not see. She was an exceptional visiting teacher.

She was passionate in being the best wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker, which she devoted her entire life to. She was the best grandma to her grandchildren and had a very special relationship with each one. Each grandchild felt like they were her favorite - because they were! She loved a clean house, neat hair, nice clothes, and spending time with family.

She was so very proud of her children, Gordon (Lori) Jennings, Sheilah Jennings, David Jennings, Susan (Jim) Owens, Stan (Maria) Jennings, and her 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She loved her siblings, Geraldine (Ward) Exell, Jimmy (Becky) Dalton, Tess (Budd) Scow, and Freda (Ted) Miller.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Springdale Chapel, Springdale, Utah. There will be a visitation from 10:00-10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Interment will be at Rockville, Cemetery.
