William "Gene" Rigdon

Gene passed away peacefully on September 12, 2016 at his home in Central, Utah with his family, friends and nurses by his side. He was born June 22, 1943 in Grand Prarie, Texas to Chester and Vadaha (Hayes) Rigdon. He had two brothers, Dwayne and Marshall.

Gene was in the Army from 1968 to 1970 and served his country in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970 in the capacity of II Field Forces A-Baty 5/42nd field artillery.

He loved to camp and fish with his friend Tom (Virginia) McIntyre and his family and friends from Vegas. Gene was a drywaller in construction for 44 years with Local Union 1780 before he retired in 2006.

Gene is survived by his wife Kathleen of 30 years, a loving son Avron (Nicole) Rigdon, three loving step children, Susan Maupin of Las Vegas, Tim (Ramona) Kittle of Cortland, Illinois and  Christine Kittle and her son Anthony Kittle of Las Vegas. 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A sister-in-law Cheryl (Joe) Apodaca of Hinckley, Illinois, an aunt Virginia Allan, a cousin Sharon Chastain of Anderson, Indiana. Several nieces and nephews from Illinois and Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sons, William Shane and Rodney Shane Rigdon, and a grandson Julian Kittle.

Gene you will be missed by Family and Friends.
