Willis (Pete) Peterson Jr.

Willis Gary Peterson Jr, or more commonly known to his friends as Pete, passed away at his home on September 17, 2022. He was 69. Pete was born on April 26,1953 is Salt Lake City, Utah to Willis G Peterson Sr and Joan Dewey. He was married to Jana W Mickelson Hague but was later divorced. They had 4 boys: Willis Gary III (Tres), Chase Andrew, Jason Woodbury, and Noah Bryce.

Pete loved to go off roading with both his motorcycle and his Toyota landcruiser. The highlight of his year was to go to the jeep safari in Moab each spring with his friends and family. Many memories were made there. Pete had many jobs during his lifetime. Some of the memorable ones included being the St George dog catcher. He told many stories regarding his four legged friends including catching a rabid skunk. He also worked for his father in his grandfather’s ski repair shop as a kid growing up in Park City, Utah. In his last job he went back to school and obtained his nursing degree and worked as an RN until he became disabled.

Pete is survived by his children, his parents Joan Peterson, Gary and Merna Peterson, his brothers Ranch, Brook, and Rande(Amy) plus numerous nieces and nephews.
